Portfolio import

Disnat portfolio file import

The Disnat import turns a position file into an analyzable portfolio while preserving source costs, masked accounts and original currencies.

What it provides

A clearer financial workflow

  • Analyze the file before creating a portfolio
  • Preserve source symbols and Disnat costs
  • Choose Canadian-dollar consolidation or separate currency portfolios
  • Keep out-of-directory exceptions clearly identified

A preview before conversion

AInvestor shows quantities, average costs, total costs, available prices and differences before generating a portfolio. Unresolved securities are never silently replaced.

Resolution starts with the symbol and then uses company name, market and currency as fallback signals. Exceptions such as a delisted or bankrupt company remain explicitly identified.

From archive to analysis

Historical imports remain available without losing the source file. Once generated, the AInvestor portfolio connects each position to the available financial research views.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Is the Disnat file modified?

No. The imported file and archive remain source records; AInvestor creates a separate analytical representation.

What happens when a security cannot be found?

It is displayed as an exception to verify rather than being automatically matched to the wrong company.
